Registered nurses enter Adelphi with a foundation of professional knowledge and skill. This program of study aims to deepen their expertise with study in the liberal arts and sciences and to extend it to encompass health promotion, long-term care, research, advocacy, teaching, change, and management.
The undergraduate program for registered nurses is designed to accommodate the schedules of working nurses and allow students to enroll full time or part time providing a schedule for students to attend classes only one day per week. The program is a combination of live and blended online courses. The same program is offered at all four sites (Garden City, Sayville, Hudson Valley and Manhattan).
Because every student’s background and prior course work are different, each student must meet with an adviser to plan the schedule of courses that best matches the student’s individual program needs.
