This advanced certificate program is designed to give students who have already attained a master’s degree in health studies or related fields the opportunity to specialize in community health promotion.

Electives


(12 credits)

Any HED or PED courses pertinent to the area of community health promotion and/or education upon adviser’s approval.

Notes


  • The number of credits required in the certificate program is 28; however, a student may be exempted from up to 9 credits, depending on previous graduate experience.
  • Certain courses may be waived at the department’s discretion and replaced by electives approved by the department.
  • Before starting the program, students may be able to transfer up to 6 credits of non-Adelphi graduate level coures and up to 9 credits of Adelphi graduate level courses to the program upon adviser’s approval, not to exceed 9 total credits transferred.
