Students planning a career in public accounting should be aware that to acquire the C.P.A. license in New York State, as well as many other states, candidates have to complete at least 150 credit hours of college education. Our undergraduate accounting majors can meet the above NY State requirement and obtain an MBA in 12 additional months by finishing the B.B.A. in accounting and then completing the required graduate courses on a full-time basis, as described below:

Requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Business Administration (B.B.A./M.B.A.)
Complete the Accounting, B.B.A. requirements (123 credits), followed by these courses for the M.B.A. (33 credits):
Note:
Students completing the B.B.A. in Accounting and desiring to go into the fifth year option have to take the foundation course requirement of DSC (0207) 573, Management Information Systems, unless they took DSC (0207) 478, the undergraduate course in Management Information Systems, as one of the Liberal Arts electives in their senior year.
