For Graduate Students in Other Adelphi Programs
Effective human resource management can enhance organizational performance across industries and professions. The Robert B. Willumstad School of Business and other professional schools at Adelphi have developed a variety of programs that allow students who are enrolled in other professional schools to acquire human resource expertise.
Robert B. Willumstad School of Business: The courses in the ACHR are also open to students enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the School. Students who want to receive the ACHR after completing the M.B.A. with HR specialization should contact the Graduate Program Office during their M.B.A. program to plan accordingly.
A student with a bachelor’s degree, who completes the requirements for the ACHR, may apply some or all of the certificate credits towards the MBA requirements (if the student is accepted in the Adelphi MBA program).
School of Social Work: Students currently enrolled in the MSW program who are interested in earning the ACHR must apply to the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business prior to beginning the courses. If accepted, they may apply the credits for SWK (0404) 722 - Organization Context For Professional Practice to fulfill the MGT 561 requirement.
Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies: Students who are studying for the Master of Arts in General Psychology degree and take the five courses in Human Resource Management as part of their concentration in industrial-organizational psychology can apply to receive the ACHR.
