PHI (0154) 315 - The History of Philosophy V: The 20th Century

The 20th Century saw exponential growth of scientific knowledge and technological power, as well as violence on a new scale (e.g. World Wars, genocide, and weapons of mass destruction). Sartre, Heidegger, Russell, and Wittgenstein develop the new philosophical approaches of existentialism, phenomenology and linguistic analysis to address these radical changes.
