About This Bulletin
This Bulletin presents essential information about undergraduate and graduate study at Adelphi University. At the beginning of this Bulletin we describe our educational philosophy and mission and touch on some of the highlights of University and student life. This introduction is followed by a description of our undergraduate and graduate academic programs and courses in the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Social Work, the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology, the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education, the College of Nursing and Public Health, College of Professional and Continuing Studies, and our Honors College. Next follows pre-professional and joint degree programs, an overview of student resources, application procedures, tuition and fees, and rules and regulations. Last, we list the faculty, honorary degree recipients, Board of Trustees, and Officers of Administration.
The Bulletin is a guide to the resources of the University and a summary of the exciting intellectual opportunities that the University provides students and members of the community.

Safety First
Colleges and universities are required under federal law to publish and make available an annual campus security report, which includes, among other information, statistics on campus crime. The crime statistics for all colleges and universities required to comply with this law are available from the United States Department of Education.
Adelphi University’s annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Adelphi University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, the emergency response plan, and other matters.
