This course continues to focus on the trauma of migration and displacement. Using frameworks from social theory, trauma theory, and psychoanalysis, as well as video and text narratives with particular focus on therapeutic interventions.

Prerequisite 1: PGC 916
Course Learning Goals: 1. Students will identify the trauma of origin
2. Students will identify the trauma of the journey
3. Students will identify the trauma of settlement
4. Students will acquire skills in therapeutic interventions to assist the vulnerable migrant in recuperating their subjectivity experience.
