The Problem-Solving MBA program offers students a cutting-edge format in which to obtain their M.B.A. in as little as 12 months. The program consists of two pre-semester modules and four eight-week semesters. At the conclusion of the Fall 1 and Spring 1 semesters, students participate in “problem-solving days” where they integrate what they have learned over the previous semester(s). Our program is designed to equip you with the essential skills, strategic thinking, and innovative mindset needed to tackle complex business issues head-on. In an ever-evolving global economy, the ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems is a critical skill that sets leaders apart. This program goes beyond traditional MBA offerings, placing a strong emphasis on practical problem-solving techniques that empower graduates to excel in a wide range of industries.

Note:

Fall I and II and Spring I and II semesters are 8 weeks long.

Students must take three specialization courses from the list of choices below. One course in each Spring 1, Spring 2, and Summer 1 semesters. Please check from Course Search when the courses are offered.

If the student takes all three courses from the same specialty, the student will complete specialization. If the courses are from different specialties they will count as elective courses and the student will not receive a specialization.

For more information about the Problem-Solving MBA, please contact the Graduate Program Office at (516) 877-4670.

Courses are 3 credits unless noted otherwise.

Pre-Fall 1

Students must take the Economics and Business math modules prior to the first Fall Semester.  Students may also take a qualifying exam to “test out” of either or both of the courses. If a student has taken an advanced-level college course in either subject with a grade of B or better, they may be waived from the module(s). Students without an Accounting background (degree or professional certification) may be required to take an online accounting module and pass a proficiency exam prior to taking ACC600. Please contact the School of Business Graduate Office for further information.
