Credits Required to Graduate: 120

There are 5 core classes (16 total credits) that all students complete for the B.A. in Anthropology.  Additionally, students must take at least one course beyond the introductory level (200+) in each of the three areas of cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and archaeology.  The field of anthropology is complementary to other academic departments and programs at Adelphi thus providing many opportunities for double majors or other combinations of study. Students should contact the Anthropology Department to explore their interests in completing a double major.

Electives

(15 credits in Anthropology)

Electives include all courses with the ANT 0103 prefix. Students with appropriate course preparation are encouraged to consider independent study research courses known as Guided Readings and Guided Research. Additionally, with the permission of the Department Chair, three (3) credits from a program outside of Anthropology may be applied toward the Electives requirement.
