The Nutrition and Dietetics: Advanced Pathway is a program track specifically designed for graduates of the MS in Nutrition program at Adelphi. The Advanced Pathway waives the seven overlapping courses that Adelphi MS in Nutrition graduates have already taken.

Students enrolled in the Advanced Pathway will complete 41 credits, including 25 credits of fully online didactic courses and 16 credits of fieldwork.

The Graduate Nutrition and Dietetics: Advanced Pathway prepares graduates for careers as Registered Dietitians in a wide variety of settings including but not limited to hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, community centers, health departments, and private practice. This program includes nine didactic courses along with six field work courses. Field work courses provide a total of 785 hours of field work in professional work settings. The program structure has been developed to ensure that students master all competencies and performance indicators required by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. All courses will be fully online and field work will be completed in-person. Distance education will be available for field work for students residing outside of the Tri-state area.  Fieldwork courses include supervised experiential learning opportunities in a variety of settings including acute care, long-term care, community, foodservice, and research. Upon completion of the Nutrition and Dietetics: Advanced Pathway graduates are eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian Credentialing Examination.
