General Education Requirements
All students must satisfy the University’s General Education requirements in addition to the requirements for the major in Environmental Science. The University’s foreign language requirements for the B.A. degree in Environmental Studies does not apply to this B.S. degree.
Core Courses
(16 credits)
Natural and Formal Science Electives
(30 credits)
In consultation with an adviser, select a minimum of 30 credits distributed accordingly between 100, 200, 300, and 400+ level courses with a minimum of 12 credits required from courses in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics/Computer Sciences, or Physics. A minimum of 12 of the required 30 credits must be designated ENV or EAS courses.
Select a minimum of 9 credits at the 100+ level
Select a minimum of 9 credits at the 200+ level
Select a minimum of 6 credits at the 300+ level
Select a minimum of 6 credits at the 400+ level
Social Sciences, Policy, and Humanities Electives
(15 credits)
In consultation with an adviser, select a minimum of 15 credits distributed accordingly between 100, 200, and 300+ level courses. A minimum of 6 of the required 15 credits must be designated ENV or EAS courses.
Select a minimum of 6 credits at the 100 level.
Select a minimum of 6 credits at the 200 level
Select a minimum of 3 credits at the 300+ level
Optional Degree Tracks
Students may elect to take one of the following optional degree tracks while completing the B.S. in Environmental Science degree requirements. Tracks are not required for the the completion of the B.S. degree and do not add additional required credits. They are simply a cluster of related courses selected from the elective requirements. Students are directed to note pre-requisites and co-requisites associated with many of the courses listed in the tracks below.
