This advanced certificate program is designed to give students who have already attained a master’s degree in health studies or related fields the opportunity to specialize in community health promotion.

Completion of a master’s degree in health promotion/education or related field.

Any HED or PED courses pertinent to the area of community health promotion and/or education upon adviser’s approval.
Notes
- The number of credits required in the certificate program is 28; however, a student may be exempted from up to 9 credits, depending on previous graduate experience.
- Certain courses may be waived at the department’s discretion and replaced by electives approved by the department.
- Before starting the program, students may be able to transfer up to 6 credits of non-Adelphi graduate level coures and up to 9 credits of Adelphi graduate level courses to the program upon adviser’s approval, not to exceed 9 total credits transferred.
