Program Pre/Corequisite: EEC (0810) 600, or the graduate or undergraduate equivalent within the past 5 years, with a grade of B or better.
This program leads to Students with Disabilities birth through grade two certification. It is intended for candidates who already hold New York State certification in early childhood education.

Courses are three credits unless noted otherwise.

(9 credits) Early Childhood Special Education Advanced Sequence
(12 credits) Student Teaching or Practicum and Seminar in Early Childhood Special Education
(3 credits)
All ECS (0820) E Advanced Sequence Courses must be completed prior. Electives 6 credits, based on advisement
Additional Requirements for Program Completion/State Certification
- Maintenance of 3.0 GPA in all program coursework
- All teacher certification candidates must take and pass the New York State Teacher’s Certification Examinations (NYSTCE) required for their particular area of certification which includes the Content Specialty Test in Students with Disabilities
