Required Course
(3 credits)
The Foundations course must be taken before advancing in the program.
Tracks
(15 Credits)
Choose one of the three tracks, each of which has the student select 5 elective courses (15 credits total).
Track One: Human Dignity
Students craft their choice of electives based on interest with the help of an advisor and the Program Director. We invite students in the arts, humanities and/or environmental studies and sciences and other interdisciplinary programs to build their own minor. Some suggested courses are below.
Track Two: Schools and Conflict Resolution
STEP students who are pursuing their teaching licensure would select this track for focused study on issues related to schools, violence, conflict resolution, and justice.
Track Three: Human Rights, Justice, and Activism
Students select from a vast array of courses related to global policy, justice, human rights, and activism. The selection of 5 electives would be with the approval of their major advisor and the Peace Studies Program Director. Some suggested courses are below.
