NYS Program Codes: 34773 (certification), 34856 (non-certification)
HEGIS Code: 0899.00
CIP Code: 13.501

The M.A. in Educational Technology is offered at Adelphi’s Manhattan Center* in two forms. The accelerated M.A. program begins in the late summer and allows candidates to complete their degree in 14 months; the traditional M.A. program begins in the spring and lets candidates complete their degree in three semesters.

Both accelerated and traditional programs have a K-12 Certification track and a Non-Certification track. The K-12 Certification is for teachers who already hold a valid NYS teaching certificate in any area and want to earn a further certification as an Educational Technology Specialist. The Non-Certification track prepares students for careers in corporations, higher education, public institutions, or non-profits. They work as learning technology designers and producers, researchers and evaluators of educational technology, policy advisors, or learning science specialists.

We admit students on a rolling basis and do not require the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Local, national, and international applicants are welcome.

Contact Adelphi’s Office of Student Financial Services for details on fees, tuition and financial aid opportunities. Students are eligible for the competitive instructional technology internship through Adelphi’s Faculty Center for Professional Excellence, as well as graduate assistant positions with the School of Education.

*Currently, the accelerated program is only being offered on the Manhattan campus. The traditional (non-accelerated) program is offered in both Manhattan and Garden City. If you have questions, please contact the program director, Aaron Hung (hung@adelphi.edu).
