Coaching Minor

The coaching minor develops future coaches by teaching current theories and practices in coaching with practical experiences. This minor will train and develop future coaches in the areas of practice planning, skill development, and coaching strategies in their sports of interest. The proposed coursework lays a theoretical and practical framework for students interested in coaching and attaining a NYS Temporary Coaching License (TCL) and/or becoming a certified sports official.
