3/4 B.S./D.P.M. Early Assurance Program and Early Acceptance

Bachelor of Science (or Arts) degree from Adelphi University/Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine

Adelphi University has a 3+4 Early Assurance and Early Acceptance program with New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) which students’ study for three years at Adelphi. After completing 90 credits at Adelphi, students begin their first year of podiatric medical school which counts as the final 30 credits needed to be eligible for the bachelor’s degree at Adelphi. The bachelor’s degree will be awarded by Adelphi University after the first year of podiatric medical school. After successful completion of the fourth year at NYCPM, students are eligible for the D.P.M. degree. For more information on the program academic/standardized test requirements and the application deadline, please click here. 3+4 Admissions Eligibility Requirements

  • Completion of at least (90) credits of course work at Adelphi, including completion of all General Education requirements, all major coursework and the following pre-requisite coursework:

       o Biology with lab: BIO 111  & BIO 112  
       o Chemistry with lab: CHE 111  & CHE 112  
       o Organic Chemistry with lab: CHE 251  /CHE 253   CHE 252  /CHE 254  
       o Physics with lab: PHY 111  or PHY 113  & PHY 112  or PHY 114  

       o 2 Semesters of English
       o Recommend: Biochemistry: CHE 471  /CHE 473   or BIO 504   and Psychology: PIA 101  

       o Must score within the minimum of 20 th percentile in BBFLS and CPFBS sub sections.
