The Statistics and Applied Mathematics and Data Science 5-year program provides students with the opportunity to complete a BS and MS within 5 years of study. It is intended primarily for students who would like to 1) accelerate their graduate schooling by one year; and 2) gain specialized training for employment in fields of statistics beyond the Bachelor of Science degree. A maximum of 9 credits associated with these courses may be applied to meet the degree requirements for both the Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Master of Science degrees in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. Upon earning the Statistics, B.S , with permission of the Graduate Program Director, students may matriculate into the Master of Science degree. The graduate credits earned during the third/fourth year (see below) will be added to the student’s graduate transcript, enabling the completion of the Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Data Science with as little as 21 credits in the fifth year.
