Each student in the Honors College majors, as all Adelphi undergraduates do, in a subject area of a department or School of the University. The General Education requirements are satisfied through the requirements of the Honors curriculum. The courses required for the Honors College are outlined in the table below. In addition to completing these courses, in order to graduate from the Honors College, students must receive a grade of B- or better on the Senior Thesis and achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.3.

ARH 196 and ARH 197 will not count toward both the History and Art History requirements unless approved through advisement.​

The number of foreign language courses necessary to reach reading competency depends on the level of the student’s attainment in the language in high school. Many Honors students begin in the intermediate level, unless they choose to start a new language.
