The purpose of the program is to prepare students for staff accounting positions in both business and non-profit entities. Course work in this certificate program will help in meeting the prerequisites for the M.B.A. program with accounting specialization at Adelphi. Due to the sequential nature of the accounting courses, students can complete the certificate in six semesters or three years. The courses in this certificate are offered in the evening to meet the needs of working adults. Prior Learning credits cannot be applied to undergraduate certificates. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate certificates as of October 1, 2015, may continue to pursue their certificate under the previous guidelines until they graduate. Prior to being enrolled students may transfer in a maximum of 15 credits into the certificate program.  Candidates for this program must have completed at least 42 credits.
