(15 credits)

The graduate certificate in finance at Adelphi University is designed to offer opportunities to individuals who are interested in learning corporate finance and investment analysis and accomplishing professional growth. The certificate is designed primarily for those who have a bachelor’s degree in business and do not anticipate investing in a full MBA degree with finance specialization in the immediate future. For those with plans to pursue a graduate degree in business with a finance specialization at a later stage, twelve of the finance credits earned in the graduate certificate can be applied towards their MBA with Finance Specialization at Adelphi University. Students with a prior graduate degree in business without a specialization in finance as well as students with other prior academic background may also be interested in this certificate program. For those candidates with a prior degree in a non-business discipline, certain prerequisites may apply. For more information, please contact the Graduate Business Programs Office at 516-877-4670.

Note:

Each candidate for the certificate must complete all course requirements with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students who have completed FIN 630  at Adelphi within the prior five years, with a grade of B or higher, may apply the credits for that course to fulfill the course requirements for this certificate. Students who have taken undergraduate courses in corporate finance may request that the requirement for FIN 630  be replaced with another graduate finance course elective.

Courses are 3 credits unless noted otherwise.
