Comprehensive Assessment Portfolio (CAP)
The Comprehensive Assessment Portfolio (CAP), a requirement for students wishing to continue in the major, is a cumulative record of a student’s work in psychology, based on 6 required courses taken during their first four semesters or 60 credits (transfer students will be advised individually on portfolio requirements). In the semester in which the Psychology CAP will be completed (usually their fourth semester), or the semester immediately following, students register for the CAP course (PIA 399 ). Students’ CAP will be reviewed by their advisors and those students who are not achieving an adequate level of competency will be offered remediation while enrolled in the CAP course.
