The 4 + 1 Physical Education and Health Education program prepares students for New York State Teacher Certification for Physical Education and Health Education for grades Pre-K to 12. The program provides students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to develop, teach and promote healthy lifestyles, risk reduction and health advocacy.  Multiple, age appropriate strategies are learned and practiced by students in their courses and field experiences.  The program prepares students to promote healthful living and to prevent, reduce and defer risky behaviors for grades Pre-K to 12.

 

General Education


All students must satisfy the University’s requirements, in addition to the requirements for the major. Students Sciences must also satisfy the University’s foreign language requirement.
