The Generalist Master of Public Health (MPH) program is designed to prepare highly qualified practitioners equipped to address the health needs of populations. Our partnerships with a wide variety of public health settings facilitate student engagement in interdisciplinary work that addresses the disparities in underserved populations.  The program focus is on excellence in education, research and service.  Students develop specialized knowledge and skills to prepare for careers as public health professionals.

The MPH  curricula  offers course work on the study of human disease, social and behavioral health issues, health policy , environmental health, epidemiology, biostatistics,  planning and programming, and research methods. Students participate in a mentored field experience for integrating and applying classroom learning. The program culminates with a capstone project under the direction of a faculty member.  With a diverse selection of electives in epidemiology, community health, emergency management and global health, students can tailor the program according to their interests.
