Registered nurses enter Adelphi with a foundation of professional knowledge and skill. This program of study aims to deepen their expertise with study in the liberal arts and sciences and to extend it to encompass health promotion, long-term care, research, advocacy, teaching, change, and management.

The undergraduate program for registered nurses is designed to accommodate the schedules of working nurses and allow students to enroll full time or part time.  The program is a combination of live, blended and online courses. The program is offered at the Garden City site.

Because every student’s background and prior course work are different, each student must meet with an adviser to plan the schedule of courses that best matches the student’s individual program needs.

Lower Division Curriculum

Registered nursing students admitted to the program take courses to meet University General Education Program  requirements including Learning Goals and distribution requirements in arts, humanities, and social sciences, along with science and math prerequisites and nursing theory classes.
