Program Pre/Corequisites: ECH 600 ; SPH 602 ; ELY 640 ; EYC 710 ; EYC 730 ; EEC 600 , or the graduate or undergraduate equivalent within the past 5 years, with a grade of B or better.
This program leads to certification in early childhood and students with disabilities, birth - grade 2. It is intended for candidates who already hold New York State Certification in a teaching area, but not in either of the two stated areas.

ECS (0820) Foundations courses must be completed prior to enrolling in the courses listed below. Student Teaching or Practicum in Early Childhood Special Education

- Maintenance of 3.0 GPA in all program coursework
- All teacher certification candidates must take and pass the New York State Teacher’s Certification Examinations (NYSTCE) required for their particular area of certification which includes the Content Specialty Test in Multisubject and Students with Disabilities
