This area of concentration is a cooperative program between University College and Adelphi’s Department of Art and Art History. Candidates for this degree must have completed at least 120 credits, 90 of which must be in the liberal arts. 40 credits in the major are required. The final 30 credits must be taken in graded course work at the University, and no more than 60 of the total credits may be awarded from prior learning credits.

General Education


All students must satisfy the University’s General Education requirements , in addition to the requirements for the major. Students completing the B.A. degree must also satisfy the University’s foreign language requirement. There is no University requirement for a foreign language for other bachelor’s degrees such as the B.S. or B.F.A.
