The English Department offers the Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) program in Creative Writing, with advanced workshops in fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and dramatic writing, and courses in literature, language, and theory. The department also contributes course work to a Master of Arts “7–12” degree for those seeking a graduate degree and New York State certification for teaching on the secondary level. Students who successfully complete the program will graduate with a Master of Arts from the College of Education and Health Sciences.
