PHI (0154) 314 - The History of Philosophy IV: The 19th Century

During the 19th century, a time of revolution as well as capitalist and colonial expansion, philosophers grappled with tumultuous changes by constructing theories of history, revolution, and critiques of religion and morality. TStudents examine theorists such as Hegel, Marx, Kierkegaard, James, and Nietzsche are examined for historical and contemporary significance.
