Through the study of recent philosophers of science, students explore: the differences between science and pseudo-science, the standards of scientific truth, the nature of scientific revolutions, and the possibility of scientific progress. Students apply these broad philosophical issues to specific fields of study, e.g. evolutionary biology, psychoanalysis, or quantum physics.
