PHY (0156) 607 - Quantum Mechanics II


Credits: 3

This course is developed in terms of Hilbert space operators. The quantum mechanics of simple systems, including the harmonic oscillator, spin, and the one-electron atoms, are reviewed. Finally, methods useful in modern quantum optics, including manipulation of coherent states, the Bloch sphere representation, and conventional perturbation theory, are discussed.
