Students will survey a detailed overview of major geological concepts and earth processes, focusing on the geosphere, or solid earth. Topics, such as plate tectonics, volcanoes, earthquakes, structural geology, and geologic time will be examined through a combination of lectures, lab and/or field activities, case studies, and scientific papers.
