Problem solving is a critical aspect of managing a business organization successfully. It involves using multiple perspectives, research and critical thinking skills to find a solution. Students will enhance their problem-solving, teamwork, leadership and organization skills by working as consultants on a project for a not-for-profit or for-profit organization
Prerequisite 1: BUS 240 Repeatable: No Grade Type: Regular Course Learning Goals: By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand the scope of a consulting project.
- Acquire skills to work in teams and manage the project and the client.
- Analyze the client’s situation and current condition.
- Learn research skills by doing research and developing a model related to the problem space.
- Acquire data gathering and hypothesis testing skills.
- Develop a data driven solution to the problem.
- Learn how to deliver the solution to the client.
