CSC (0145) 418 - Extended Reality Engineering

Students will explore the history and current state of virtual reality and augmented reality, and investigate the mathematical and technological foundations of 3D graphics. Students will design applications for desktop, mobile, and web-based platforms.

Prerequisite 1:
CSC 175  and MTH 250  
Repeatable: No Grade Type: Regular
Course Learning Goals: After completing this course, students will be able to:

1. explain the mathematical structures underlying 3D graphics and how technology is able to render 3D graphics
2. evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of software and hardware user interfaces
3. design new extended reality applications for various hardware platforms
