BUS (0204) 688 - Negotiation for the Business Leader

The course provides an understanding of negotiation and persuasion theory, processes, and practices at the leadership level.  Students are given the opportunity to enhance their negotiation and persuasion skills under various leadership situations. Students gain practical experience in applying these skills during experiential exercises throughout the course.

Course Learning Goals: Upon Completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Analyze negotiation and persuasion concepts associated with leadership practices
  • Effectively plan for a negotiation considering differing negotiation styles
  • Assess various business contexts and evaluate effective  principles and techniques for strategies and skills for effective negotiations.
  • Apply concepts of negotiation to various leadership scenarios
