PIA (0501) 213 - Interprofessional Practice: Working with Diverse Populations


Credits: 3.00

Students will learn about interprofessional practice while developing skills working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Emphasis will be on working collaboratively with professionals from different fields guided by the interprofessional core competencies of ethics and values. Using a problem-based approach students will be able to develop as reflective service-providers.

Course Learning Goals: Students will:

• Recognize the benefits of IPP as best practice in ensuring patient-centered high quality care

• Recognize  the value of culturally sensitive practice and develop ethics and values competencies that support interprofessional collaborative practice
