PHI (0154) 270 - Philosophy of Sex and Gender

Students will examine how gender and gendered discourse permeate the Western philosophical canon to investigate how the structures of our thought and experience work to maintain the “othering†of females/femininity. Students will focus on the intersection of gender with race, class, and sexuality in history, current events, and popular culture.
