EEC (0810) 640 - Diagnosis of and Intervention in Autism


Credits: 3.00

Students learn about multidisciplinary diagnostic approaches and interventions to support individuals on the autism spectrum at levels 1, 2, & 3, and related conditions. Topics include assessment protocols, scientifically based behavioral and developmental interventions such as ABA, TEACCH, Daily Life Therapy, Miller Method, DIR (Floortime), RDI, SCERTS, speech/language strategies, PECS, and other well thought out strategies. Practicum experience required.

Prerequisite 1: EEC 600  or EST 305 EEC 540
