Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership (Non-certification)


This Advanced Certificate program will provide formal leadership training to enable participants to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to assume leadership responsibilities within their school or school district.  Upon completion, students will receive an Adelphi University certificate in Educational Leadership.

Students in the program may use the coursework and credits to continue their studies.  All credits from this program can be applied towards fulfilling the requirements for the New York State School Building Leader program.  The New York State Department of Education is the final authority regarding certification and licensing.

All of the courses in the Educational Leadership program are conducted partly on campus and partly on-line to accommodate the needs of hardworking professionals.  Weekend courses are also available.  This program will provide curriculum choices to meet the needs of the participants toward developing individual professional goals.

Note:


Admissions requires 3+ years full-time, paid experience (teacher, pupil personnel, or administrative) AND for public school personnel, valid New York State certification.
