Note: Majors should take required courses in whatever semester they are offered. PHI 395 is an Independent study, taken in conjunction with an upper-level philosophy course where students are provided with close supervision on an extended writing project. Students can take this course earlier and repeat it. *Students may elect to sit for the language competency examination to be exempt from the foreign language requirement.
