Track 1: Collections Care/Preservation
Students in the Collections Care and Preservation (Objects and Architecture) Track will work with a program advisor to select electives that would depend on students’ major(s)/minor(s) and career aspirations. For students planning for further conservation studies, four semesters of chemistry are required for graduate schools. For students who have not taken chemistry courses, the electives for this track would include General Chemistry I and II. For students with General Chemistry, their electives for this track could include Organic Chemistry I and II (and attached Organic Chemistry Labs I and II).
Chemistry majors, already coming with chemistry courses, would take elective classes in Art History and/or Studio Art, and Anthropology. See the list of Anthropology, Art History, and Studio Art courses in Track 2 below. Additional courses in these areas can be selected with the support of the program advisor.
