The 42 credit Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics offers health care-focused course work on American health care systems, management theory and organizational behavior, information systems, databases, system security, data analysis, clinical decision support, along with applied field experience and a capstone research project course to synthesize all coursework. It is designed to help the student use information technology to support efficient, accurate health care delivery and management. People who choose this specialization are often IT professionals pursuing health information management or healthcare professionals pursuing information technology specializations.

Application Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average
  • Must have completed an undergraduate statistics course and an undergraduate information systems course
