Biology Minor

Students wishing to minor in biology must complete a minimum of 24 credits in biology. These credits must be distributed in the following way:

Courses are 3 credits unless noted otherwise.

Required:

BIO (0105) 111 - Biological Concepts and Methods I Credits: 4.00 (or equivalent)
and
BIO (0105) 112 - Biological Concepts and Methods I I Credits: 4 (or equivalent)
BIO (0105) 222 - Genetics Credits: 3
BIO (0105) 224 - Genetics Project Lab Credits: 2

Additional Requirements:

The remaining credits needed to complete the minor in biology shall include additional courses in biology to bring the total credits to 24 to be chosen from BIO 203 , BIO 204 , and all biology courses BIO 220 or above. A minimum of two 4-credit laboratory courses must be part of the remaining credits. It is recommended that the student contact faculty for individual guidance in the development of an appropriate minor.
