The Department of Exercise Science, Health Studies, Physical Education and Sport Management also offers graduate programs leading to a Master of Science degree in Sport Management. Specialized tracks include sport marketing, sport based youth development and athletic leadership/administration.
Optional emphasis in the school/college or professional/business sector.

(3-9 credits) Optional Specialization in Sport-Based Youth Development
The specialization in sport-based youth development utilizes innovative teaching, coaching and administrative approaches to prepare you for working with young people outside of the traditional physical education and interscholastic/intercollegiate sport settings. The specialization is intended as an alternative program to teacher education, as well as an extension for coaches, recreation leaders, teachers, administrators, youth development workers and others who have an interest in the holistic development of youth through sport and physical activity.
The specialization can be completed only as part of a master’s degree, either the M.A. in Physical Education or the M.S. in Sport Management. Required Courses
