Program Description

The department offers a course of study leading to an M.A degree in physical education with an optional specialization in adapted physical education. Based on prior certification in Pre K–12 physical education, the 36 credit program is designed to prepare teachers as specialists in adapted physical education and to work with students with disabilities in a variety of school-based environments. Graduates of the program will receive an M.A. degree in physical education with an optional certificate of specialization in adapted physical education.
