DSC (0207) 669 - Supply Chain Capstone


Credits: 3.00

This course integrates all the major concepts covered in prior courses to develop effective strategies for managing supply chains. A simulation is used to provide hands-on experience. Students will explore various types of strategies including analysis of financial performance, inventory and capacity management, production control, sourcing, and negotiation.

Course Learning Goals: Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to

  • Describe how a decision on a supply chain impacts its financial performance
  • Apply supply chain management concepts to manage inventory and capacity at production facilities
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies with suppliers/retailers
  • Enhance interpersonal skills via teamwork
