CSC (0145) 595 - Research Methods in Computer Science

Students will be able to find and analyze scientific publications in the computer science domain. Students will study how the scientific method works, and how to execute a scientific research project. Students will begin exploring research ethics and obtain institutional research board certification.

Course Learning Goals: After completion of this course, students will be able to:

Explain the stages of the scientific method
Find and analyze scientific publications using structured methods
Formulate a research question and hypothesis
Design an experiment, execute it, and analyze results
Disseminate findings
