This course introduces the conceptual, empirical and practice knowledge related to benefits that individuals, families and communities can get from struggles with highly stressful and potentially traumatic nature. Models for understanding developmental, environmental and sociopolitical predictors of resilience and posttraumatic growth (PTG), their manifestations as well as strategies to foster them, will be presented and illustrated.
