MTH (0144) 401 - Experimental Design


Credits: 3.00

Students will explore: single- and multi-factor experiments; analysis of variance; multiple comparisons; contrasts; diagnostics; and fixed, random, and mixed effects models. Students will understand: designs with blocking and/or nesting; two-level factorials; and fractions thereof. Students will utilize statistical computing packages.

Prerequisite 1: MTH 142 MTH 364  
Course Learning Goals: Students will:

● Apply experimental methods and major experimental designs. 

● Think critically about proper experimental design applications in research.

● Write hypotheses that can be tested using experiments.

● Develop different types of experimental and quasi‐experimental designs.
