MTH (0144) 435 - Introduction To Topology


Credits: 3.00

Students are introduced to the fundamental principles of point-set topology. Students explore how basic properties of real numbers such as continuity, convergence, connectedness and compactness can be generalized in topological space. Other topics may include: product and quotient topologies, metric spaces, separation axioms, Tychonoff Theorem, and introductory algebraic topology.

Prerequisite 1: MTH 201  and MTH 253  or MTH 250
